An Imaginarium

Where imagination is sparked and nurtured for creative self-expression!

Welcome to the Imaginarium for Whimsy

The Imaginarium invites you to step into a fantastical time of creativity that emanates from flora and fauna, vintage artefacts and a childhood love for enchanting and meaningful stories.

We hope to inspire children and adults to be inspired and be their creative Self through their writing, art and innovative creations!

Features published children’s books authored by Dr Diann Rodgers-Healey that are available globally and in libraries and retail outlets.

The children’s books capture worlds within worlds to stretch the imagination to explore what could be, and to understand the magnificence of what is.

Meaningful stories that entertain and encourage children to think and engage in the world around them.

Creative Initiatives for children and adults will be offered to develop creativity through different forms of creative expression including visual arts, literary arts and crafts, to brighten their lives and the lives of others.

We believe in sustainable creative practices to encourage individuals to consciously manage their creative energy and output, allowing for periods of rest and reflection to ensure long-term creative viability and self-fulfillment.

We respectfully acknowledge the Wodi Wodi people, the original custodians of the Illawarra region, including Kiama and surrounding areas.

The Wodi Wodi are Dharawal language speakers who brought with them the sacred Dharawal (cabbage tree palm). Baiame is a sacred sky-hero who led the Wodi Wodi to their country, formed the natural features of the land, and gave them their social laws and rites. Totems of the Wodi Wodi include the magpie, lyrebird, pelican, satin bowerbird, the red-bellied blacksnake, and the lace monitor, and these form the heart of culture, and how the people relate to, care for and manage the land. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.
